Our last invasive pull of the season. This time we removed small balsam (Impatiens parviflora) from the forest and preventing it’s spread further into the woods. To learn more about this plant check out the Sea to Sky Invasive Plant Council’s Factsheet.
The area where we’ve done past removal is now filled with fringecup, Siberian miner’s lettuce and bleeding hearts! And of course, we found some more ivy to remove.

2024 Annual General Meeting
Our annual general meeting is scheduled for Apr 10th at 600p at McGill Public Library in the meeting room. We would love everyone to join us, both members and non members so that we can give you a greater understanding as to what our mission is and what we have accomplished so far..
We will have Mark Greenwood from the City of Burnaby speaking on Urban Forest Management from 600-700p and then a quick meeting afterwards.
In light of the wildfires that are now the norm, it is even more important than ever that we take care of these forests. It takes a community and it is all of our responsibility.

This event starts at 1030a and will go for about 1.5 -2 hrs. We ask that you bring your clippers and any larger clippers if you have them to start to tackle this problem that is preventing other natural species from thriving and is killing our larger trees.
